Going Big at Big D's

You can spot the big yellow truck from a mile away, and as soon as you do you know you’re in for a treat.  Born and raised New Yorker, Big D (Dennis) grew up in what is known to be the most culturally and diverse neighborhood in America.  Of course this had a big impact on his big love for big flavors. Influences from Guyana, Vietnam, the American south, and China.  With culinary inspiration so eclectic there’s something for everyone, but not like anything you’ve tasted before.

The Big D’s Grub Truck is famous for it’s mouth watering Asian tacos (because everything is beautiful and delicious in taco form.) Today we’re at Big D’s Grub Truck #2 – Khao Edition.  Here we opt for an entire steamy bowl of Vietnamese grilled awesomeness.  It takes quite a bit of deliberation… shaking beef, lemongrass pork, roasted chicken. OR Big D’s personal favorite – the spicy Bangkok fried rice. 

Naturally we take the chefs choice! Fragrant Jasmine rice with ground pork, Thai basil, Thai chili, freshly chopped garlic and cilantro, and they top it all off with a gorgeous runny egg.  Of course we finish off with a side of pork n’ chive dumplings because it is always a good time for dumplings.

So if you've got something big coming up, and you need some big food, filled with big flavor. You already know to look no further than Big D's!
