The biggest thing to happen to grilled cheese since King Kong. It’s not just a grilled cheese… it’s a gorilla cheese!! It was lunch time and the people of new york city were so hungry they were about to start ripping the tops off of their midtown offices. As the rumbling of the stomachs of those hangry new Yorkers grew, another rumble came from the streets, ready to combat it.
The Gorilla Cheese truck, in all it’s bright yellow cheesy glory pulls up, and finally it is time for lunch. It can be hard to keep morale high in the middle of the day, in the middle of the week, in the middle of the city. But once we got our hands on the melty amazing deliciousness that is Gorilla Cheese – we were at peace.
From Philly cheese steak, to mixed veggies there is something to feed even thr pickiest Gorilla… Triple Cream Brie with prosciutto di parma for the refined gorilla, sharp cheddar and pulled BBQ pork for the… slightly less refined gorilla, and spicy buffalo chicken for the brave gorilla. Plus – the classics, American, Cheddar, Swiss, Muenster. There’s really no way to go wrong.
It may be cheesy, but they take grilled cheese seriously. (And hey so do we!)
We ate ours on some sunny steps on 33rd street. It wasn’t long before the melty gooey aromas got some attention. “And where did you get those tater tots??”
(Did we forget to mention the tots?)
All we had to do was point to the big yellow truck, and soon we were surrounded by lots and lots of happy satisfied gorillas. And the city was at peace, at least until dinner time…
